OSLEN FEST 2025

🌿 It is an authentic gathering of people who care about making life in Oslen more united, meaningful, conscious, and kind. A meeting of those interested in moving to live in a village, as well as those who simply love the Bulgarian countryside, nature, friendships, community spirit, and a festival in nature with beautiful music and activities.

🌱 Our goal with each initiative is to create a sustainable environment for future generations and to leave a positive mark, guided by meaningful causes for the land and the region.

​

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 The festival is organized each year by a handful of people who fell in love with Oslen, made it their home, and became true friends with the local community and authorities. That’s why, beyond the cultural program featuring Bulgarian artists, the event also emphasizes:

🤝 Intergenerational dialogue
🗣️ Panel talks with local changemakers, focused on improving village life for young people
🏫 The opening of a future kindergarten, using the Illuminated Pedagogy method
🧺 Exchange of rural, local, and healthy goods and skills
🚪 Revitalization of Bulgarian village life
🛠️ Volunteering and working hand-in-hand
💬 …and the simple, small things like building and deepening friendships

🌾 We believe the future lies in tight-knit small communities in Bulgarian villages. More and more families are moving from big cities to small villages — whether it’s their native one or a new place they love. After every edition of the festival, the number of young people settling in the village grows.

This year’s theme is “SUSTAINABILITY” — striving for long-term sustainability in every aspect of life: rural living, community initiatives, and the continuity and stability of what we build together. We will also share the keys that helped us achieve this sustainable growth in Oslen, so that it may inspire other villages, too.

🧠❤️💪 This year’s program is based on three main pillars, known in ancient teachings to build a balanced human being:

• MIND (УМ) – learning and knowledge

• HEART (СЪРЦЕ) – art, creativity, and shared experience

• WILL (ВОЛЯ) – action and volunteering

• ​

📅 The full daily and hourly program is coming very soon! For now, we are sharing highlights, while keeping open space between activities for what’s often most valuable – the connections between us.

ℹ️ INFO:

🔍 Location? – Type “Oslen Fest” in Google. Just 100 km from Sofia. You’ll find us on a spacious meadow with a parking zone.
🥣 What to bring? – Reusable mugs and utensils (delicious fresh food will be prepared on-site by locals).
🚆 Train? – There’s a fast and cheap train to Oslen Station (with a transfer in Mezdra). From the station, it's a 30-minute walk along a sunny path.

🚿 Solar showers with hot water until 8 PM
🚽 Outdoor toilets

🌙 Cold at night? – Warm during the day, but bring a good sleeping bag for the night

🚫 No open fires – use only the communal fire pit
♻️ Sort waste – bins are provided on-site
