Reviving History, Building Futures: Renovating the Village School
At Oslen Fest, we're proud to support the restoration of Oslens's treasured but abandoned school, a symbol of communal spirit, originally built by the hands of dedicated volunteers in the past. This initiative is not just about refurbishing walls and classrooms; it's about reviving a vital piece of our village's history and creating a vibrant space for future generations to learn, grow, and thrive. Community gardening activities - biodynamic farming
Oslen Fest is committed to promoting sustainable biodynamic farming by engaging in community gardening activities. Our initiative aims to foster a deep connection with the land and encourage environmentally friendly farming practices, enriching both the earth and our community. Together, we plant, grow, and learn, fostering a green and vibrant community space. Get your hands dirty with us in this rewarding journey of growth and connection.
Restoring 8 old water sources in the village
One of our proudest accomplishments has been the successful restoration of eight old water sources that were once a vital part of our community. This project was a collaborative effort that involved many different people, including artists who drew maps of our village and collected stories from our community members that helped shed light on the importance of protecting these valuable resources.
Clean village - clean future - garbage collection
Our group of young people had a wonderful idea to preserve the beauty of our local lake. We organized a garbage collection initiative to clean up the area and set an example for those in our community who are used to throwing rubbish in and around the lake. Our goal is to transform this once-littered and neglected space into a beautiful zone for rest and relaxation.We believe that by taking action to protect and enhance our natural environment, we can create a healthier and more sustainable community.
Organizing cultural events in places where access to culture is missing
At Oslen Fest, we're passionate about bringing cultural events to communities where access to the arts is limited. Our goal is to enliven these areas with music, art, and theater, enriching lives where such experiences are rare. Join us in spreading the joy of culture. We held an incredible harp concert and literature reading event in the school building that has been closed for 40 years.
Lessons of virtues - integration of marginalized groups
OslenFest organizes weekly series of events with kids to teach virtues such as brotherhood, compassion, and care through play. We provide opportunities for local kids from marginalized groups to have access to quality educational and cultural practices.
